Webcam Software

Introduction

I'm wanting to set-up a couple of web cams at my home so I can monitor the house (high bushfire risk area) and our dogs. This page is my attempt to work out which I will use.

My requirements are:

• Windows XP
• One to Four cameras.
• Access to a camera image (still) from mobile phone.
• Access to camera via RDP (web access nice but not essential).
• Home computer able to send captured image via email.
• Motion detection (low priority).

My wish list of camera

• Yard view to give idea of smoke/embers during high fire danger period.
• Dogs in their dog-run.
• Fire pump, with sound, to give confirmation of pump start.
• Driveway outside of gate, with motion detection, to detect visitors.
